Well, here it is the big day.
WALT: Hump day?
Noooo.
WALT: Yeah. I didn’t think so. Not with you anyway.
What exactly is your fascination with this lately.
WALT: I gots needs, man.
Anyway, today I start the new job - officially. This is my first of 4 ten hour days. Fortunately, there is a day in the middle to break them up a bit.
Yesterday was a very good, and powerful, day. I finished the blog and set to task. I cleaned the apartment, including getting all my crafting stuff back out to The Workshop. Got myself all together for the day, making sure I had my laundry and what not. I continued my Devotions and Rituals throughout the morning. I even managed to soak in a hot bath again [ok...lukewarm] and grab a shower. All of this was finished by noon.
I did end up scheduling that bigger job. It took me an hour and nine minutes and I made just shy of $28. It doesn’t seem like a lot but right now every little bit helps. I still have to get to next Friday before the paychecks start coming in. I also still need shoes. I did not go for pants yesterday. I figured I have one pair that will suffice for now and I can pick up a pair or two on Friday when my monies from the last two days are deposited.
I have to comment again that I really do enjoy the retail merchandising line of work, and any day that goes with it. Even in the short drive to this store yesterday, I was feeling very up and alive. Which is good, considering afterwards I was very sore and tight. I still am a bit actually and that could make today rougher to get through than I’d like.
After the gig I had time to kill. Lots of time to kill. I had to do laundry yesterday. It is a little cheaper at the other end of The Valley on Tuesdays. Cuddlebug also has dance class on Tuesday nights and the studio is next door to the laundromat. I still had two little gifts for the girls from Yule, so I figured this would be a good chance to take care of everything at once. But, it left me with lots of time to kill. I decided to go kill it at The Putter’s.
This turned out to be very beneficial. I received that wood the other day but it still needed to be separated and cut into pieces. He had all the tools I needed to get the job done. I now have 9 more pieces of wood with which to carve. I went from 4, and thinking that would be all I had, to having 13, and understanding there could be more in the future. It’s still a rare find, but to know I can maybe pick up a few more pieces moving forward makes me happy.
So, the laundry got done - and actually folded. I saw Cuddlebug for just a moment and that was nice. I was able to give her their gifts. And, then, it was home to The Dormitory.
At that point, I was pretty much done. My body was aching from the gig earlier in the day. I was tired from not having slept much the night before. I was home by 1900 and falling asleep by 1930. I slept until just about 0600 this morning. I needed the rest - not only to recover but also to feel more prepared for today.
Today will be a long day, but hopefully it won’t be a grueling day. I still have lots and lots of videos to watch but I should also get plenty of floor time.
Tomorrow will be a lot of the same.
I am off on Friday, but Hoagie has a court thing in the morning that I am going to go to for support. Around lunchtime there is a Safety Meeting planned at The Putter’s. The Professor will be down off his mountain. Then Saturday and Sunday will be 10 hour work days again.
Somewhere in there, along the way, I need to manifest a little bit more cash flow. I am so close to the line. In 9 more days I will start having a steady flow of income again. At least, for now.
That is all for now. I need to eat and shower and get ready to go to work.
Peace and Blessings, Fellow Travelers.
