Theme – Focus

This message came the first day of The Quest. I was only an hour from The Valley. However, it had taken me several hours to get there, which put me there at just the Precise & Perfectly Placed moment to get the message. I didn’t quite understand it at the time, but I acknowledged it and I have thought on it many times since. Sitting here now, after almost two weeks on the road, I see it a little bit clearer. There are many and varied layers to This Quest. Obviously, there is the spiritual aspect. I needed to reconnect with G-d. It was the same reason The Re-Discovery Tour came along. I had forgotten how absolutely incredible this experience of life and living can be. There is a personal aspect. I am hoping that when I come out of this I will have healed in some way and I can return to build a better life. There is the whole WTML aspect which brings with it many layers of its own – production, scripts, characters; plus its original intention which is documenting the project and experiment – demonstrating The Wheel of Life and ARTs for The New Millennium. Now, it includes demonstrating The Quest. It is all too much to ever put in one place. Instead it must be taken piece by piece and those pieces transposed over each other until one has a clearer picture. In this way, it is much like life. [Interestingly, it also sounds a lot like G-d.]

Lesson – Be Where You’re At

I know this has come up recently, but, as the Principle goes – Repetition is Necessary. Though, this could have very easily been a Theme so far, I chose to put it in the Lesson spot. I did this because it has come up before and therefore should be considered a Principle in action. Since, I do not use Principles as one of The Trinity, I chose the closest thing to it – its predecessor, the Lesson.

Observation – There is Beauty Everywhere [If You Only Give Yourself the Chance to See It]

I have seen all sorts of beauty on this journey so far. I have seen beautiful landscape and towns and cities. I have seen beauty high atop the mountains on a beautiful and clear day with a view more miles long than I could even guess at. I have seen beauty at night on the interstate as twinkling city lights come into and go from view as they race past. I have seen beauty in the deteriorating and decaying as I stood in awe of the majesty that once stood there. But, most importantly, I have seen beauty in people. I have held many a conversation along the way. Some have been in passing, some a bit more in depth. Some have been general day to day conversations and some have been more directed and pointed. I have said hello and goodbye to many folk…and there are a few I believe I will greet with, “Merry meet, again.”

The Post

Some days you just have to take what is put before you and make the most of it.

Today is one of those days.

My traveling has been put on hold. Though, I don’t know why. When I woke this morning there was a very slight sheet of ice on the ground. I didn’t think much of it at first. I looked around the are and found some work. The roads were slightly icy, but nothing concerning at first. Then I saw an accident scene on the other side of the highway.

At the job site, people were abuzz about the weather forecast. Apparently, there is supposed to be winter storm over the next couple of days. Snow, ice, sleet – the whole kit and caboodle. I had a whole conversation with one of the workers about the weather predictions and road conditions. I decided that maybe it was best to stay put.

This would screw up my itinerary, but I learned this morning that there will be even less of a Mardi Gras then the less that I was expecting. They have put restrictions on the streets and the two main streets one would go to experience Mardi Gras are closed to vehicles and pedestrians. So, if there is no Mardi Gras to get to then it matters not if I travel onward at the moment.

So, I found myself a truck stop and pulled off the interstate for a bit. I wasn’t sure what I was going to do. While waiting for my lunch, I had a conversation with a trucker. He was planning on shutting down and just waiting to see what tomorrow brings. This sounded like a good plan to me. I only hit two icy spots in my travels this morning but both came out of nowhere and gave me a bit of a shake when I hit them. In fact, the trucker was pulling off the interstate because he had seen another truck [in front of him] pull a jackknife. It’s taxing enough to be aware of your own self and driving on days like this, but it is so much worse when you have to worry about everyone else around you.

So, I had lunch, piddled around a bit, and had a video chat with The Princesses. I went back into the truck stop for another coffee and the restroom. On my walk in, I had a conversation with another gentleman. He had just come from the direction I wanted to be heading in and said it wasn’t too bad except for one spot atop the mountain. As I waited in line to pay for the coffee, I hear a trucker talking about something may be being closed – Monteagle. He said he had heard it on the CB but couldn’t get it confirmed. I looked it up the best I could. Monteagle is a town and or a mountain. I couldn’t quite figure it out – or, if it was open. But I did see that it was right along my route.

I decided to head out. I thought maybe I could try it one truck stop at a time. It is only an hour to the next one from here. I made it just a bit down the road and then saw the interstate. It looked to be backed up in both directions and I saw flashing lights of some sort down the way. So, I turned around and headed right back to my spot.

I do not know how long I will be stationary. It may be just until tomorrow sometime, or it may stretch into Tuesday. This does it a damper on the Mardi Gras plans, but then, as I said, there isn’t really going to be much of a Mardi Gras this year. I mean – people are people and I am sure there will be things happening someplace, but I don’t know that that is what I am really going to New Orleans for anyway. Still, it would have been fun to get some of the vibe of Mardi Gras.

Suddenly, I have a very idle day on my hands that I am trying to make the most of. I will take it. Other than the Mardi Gras thing I am not really upset by the delay. It has been a very intense 11-12 days. I have traveled 1973 miles, passed through a total of 6 states [crossing state lines more times than I care to count], and visited [in some way, shape or form] no less than 18 towns/cities.

It has all been quite a bit more than I was really anticipating.

It is not just the frenzy of activity. The travel itself has been a bit taxing at times – what with small mountain roads and snow and ice. I have also been quite overwhelmed with WTML. There have been all sorts of pictures to upload and things to mark. Plus, there have been videos. Lots and lots of videos. With each new video, things get a little more interesting.

I didn’t know what to expect when I embarked on this journey, and I certainly have not been disappointed so far. The addition of the WTML elements have been exciting, but also very time consuming. The itinerary has been full and intense, but very rewarding along the way. It would seem The Quest is about a little bit of travel and a little bit of documenting.

Of course, all of this compounded by the fact that this IS a spiritual quest, so much of my alone time has been spent deep in thought – searching my mind, my heart, my soul for…something.

In true Quest fashion, I set out with a general plan, but left myself open to possibilities. I have tried to take things as they come – this includes ‘suggestions’ for places to go. This is what has taken me all over the place. First, on the day I left, I received a list from a brother. It was 65 US towns that you have never heard of but want to visit. I immediately set to lining them up with The Tour and came up with quite the travel plan. Even with the expanse of it before me, I never imagined that it would be the journey it has been.

And…it’s only just beginning I fear.

Teach the lesson of proper governorship - the balance between authority and democracy. How to use ritual to establish order and harmony in your own life. Helps us to understand that true freedom requires discipline. 22-24 months. Need to make use of all that is available to you. Alligator – Primal Energies of Birth, Motherhood, and Initiation

There could not be death without life or life without death. The feminine principle of life, and therefore birth. Initiation – endings/beginnings. The culmination of knowledge on one level and the seeking for newer on others. Higher vision and clairvoyance. Don’t go too fast. Digest what you have learned and experienced before moving on. Look for an opportunity to touch primal energies. There is going to be an opportunity for strong birth and/or initiation that will open new knowledge and wisdom in life.

Bear - Awakening the Power of the Unconscious

The Seven Great Lights of The Divine. Ties to subconscious and even unconscious mind. A symbol for alchemy, the ingredients of primal matter. It relates to all initial stages and primal instincts. How to go within to find the resources necessary for survival. Help you go within your soul’s inner sanctum to find your answers. Discernment and discrimination. Is your judgment off? How about those around you? Are you not recognizing what is beneficial in your life? Are you not seeing the core of good deep within all situations? Being too critical of yourself and others? Wearing rose-colored glasses? Go deep within so that you can make your choices and decisions from a position of power. Linking Heavens and Earth. Symbol of fertility, of things that grow. We must bring what we awaken into the world and apply it. Keep the cub inside alive and occasionally climb trees. A need to go deep within yourself. Have periods in your life when you are more reclusive. Go within yourself and even give birth to two or three ideas or projects. The Natural sweetness of life. Go within to awaken the power, but only by bringing it out into the open and applying it will the honey of life be tasted.

Blue Jay - Proper Use of Power

It can reflect lessons in using your own power properly. It can also reflect lessons in not allowing yourself to be placed in a position in which power is misused against you. It has the ability to link the heavens and the earth, to access each for greater power. This is a totem that can move between both and tap the primal energies at either level. Higher knowledge that can be used. The main problem will be dabbling in both worlds, rather than becoming a true master of both. Usually have a tremendous amount of ability, but it can be scattered or it is often not developed any more than is necessary to get by. Not unusual to find individuals with the Jay totem being dabblers - especially in the psychic and metaphysical fields. They know a little bit about a lot of things and they use that knowledge sometimes to give the impression that they know more. Wear the crown of true master ship requires dedication, responsibility, and committed development in all things in the physical and spiritual. A reminder to follow through on all things - to not start something and then leave it dangling. A time of greater resourcefulness and adaptability is about to unfold. Going to have ample opportunities to develop and use your abilities. Look for ample time to develop and use your energies to access new levels. Actually a member of the crow family, most crows have no fear. It is because of this the Jay can help you connect to the deepest mysteries of the earth and the greatest of the heavens. This sense of seeking pleasure - often at the expense of others - can reflect an imbalance. Sometimes jay shows up when this is happening in your own life. A tremendous ability for survival with the least amount of effort. They reflect great talent, but that talent must be developed and utilized properly. It indicates that you are moving into a time where you can develop your innate royalty that is within you, or simply be a pretender to the throne. It all depends on you.

Butterfly – Transmutation and The Dance of Joy

The process of metamorphosis should be studied closely. Make note of the most important issues confronting you at the moment. What stage of change are at in regards to them? You may have to examine and determine what you wish the outcome to be, and how best to accomplish it. Was a symbol of the soul. Was a symbol of conjugal bliss and joy. A symbol of change, joy, and color. There has long been an association in folklore between those of the Faerie Realm and butterflies. They remind us not to take things so seriously within our lives. They awaken a sense of lightness and joy. They remind us that life is a dance, and dance, though powerful, is also a great pleasure. Can be reminders to get up and move for if you can move you can dance. Look at how much or how little joy is within your life. Lighten up. Look for change. Don’t forget that all change is good. Reminds us to make changes when the opportunities present themselves. Transformation is inevitable. Growth and change does not have to be traumatic. It can occur as gently, as sweetly, and as joyfully as we wish.

Cardinal - Renewed Vitality through Recognizing Self-Importance

They remind us that, regardless of the time of day or year, we always have the opportunity to renew our own vitality and recognize our own life roles. Whistles are often reminders to listen closely - to pay attention to what is blowing on the winds. Reflects that we should be listening to the inner voice (the feminine) more closely for our own health and well-being. Almost always reflects a need to assert the feminine aspects of creativity and intuition more strongly. Can reflect a need to b more careful about your diet, that what you are eating may be injurious to yourself and affecting your overall vitality. Reflects the rhythm of 12 that is going to become more predominant within your own life. Reflects lessons associated with responsibility and the recognition of the task at hand. May reflect past-life connections with the church, or even a reviving of more traditional religious beliefs, regardless of denomination. Remind us to add color to our lives, and remember that everything is of importance.

Crow - The Secret Magic of Creation is Calling

Magic and creation are potentials very much alive during the day. Alchemy. Represents “ingredients,” the initial state of substance - unformed but full of potential. A reminder of what an happen if we are not looking for magic and creation every day. Magic and creation are ‘cawing’ out to us every day. Health, home and respect. Working with crows can help you to see how the winds are going to blow into your life and how to adjust your own life flights. Finding a dead crow was a sign of good luck. Wherever crows are there is magic. Symbols of creation and spiritual strength. Look for opportunities to create and manifest the magic of life. They are messengers calling to us about the magic that is alive within our world everyday and available to us.

Deer – Gentleness and Innocence – Gentle Luring to New Adventures

They have been able to adapt to every sort of habitat. Buddha is often pictured with a deer. Antlers are symbols of antennae, connections to higher forms of attunement. Look for new perceptions and degrees of perceptions to expand for as much as the next five years. Can indicate that there will be opportunities to stimulate gentle new growth increasingly over the next few years. Leads us back to the primal wisdom. A deer’s senses are very acute. Find increasing ability to detect subtle movements and appearances. Begin to hear what may not be said directly. Time to be gentle with yourself and others. A new innocence and freshness is about to be awakened or born. There is going to be a gentle, enticing lure of new adventures. Are you trying to force things? Are others? Are you being too critical and uncaring of yourself? An opportunity to express gentle love that will open new doors to adventure for you.

Dog – Faithfulness and Protection

Different dogs will mean different things. Examine the qualities of your breed and the individual dog. It takes a lot to break a dog’s spirit. It’s ability to love, even when abused, is tremendous. It’s spirit and willingness to love and to be a companion is great. What is this saying about your need for or lack of companionship? Are you being faithful? Are others around you? Are you showing unconditional love, or receiving it? Do you need to be more protective of your territory? Do you need to play a little more? Does your spirit need bolstering? How about those around you? Examine your territories. Dog knows its own home ground.

Dragonfly – The Power of Light

Inhabit two realms – water and air. The significance of these should be studied. There must be expressions of the emotional and the mental together. You may need some fresh air in regards to something emotional. You may need to gain new perspective or make a change. May even indicate that you are neglecting your emotions. Are you being too rational about everything? Are you not keeping the colors of emotion alive?

Duck – Emotional Comfort and Protection

Linked to the feminine energies, the astral plane, and to the emotional state of humans. Can remind us to drink from the waters of life as well as to nurture our own emotional natures. Reminding us we can find sustenance in our emotions. May reflect an inability to feel comfortable with most people in your life. It may reflect a need to find comfort in your own element and with those of life mind and spirit. Can remind us that we are going to have such an opportunity. May reflect past-life connections. They can help you to handle your own emotions with greater grace and comfort. Teach you how to maneuver through various waters of life.

Dove - Feminine Energies of Peace, Maternity, and Prophecy

Keeping contact with Mother Earth and the creative possibilities of the feminine energies on earth. Eat bulk to aid in digestive and creative processes. Brood consists of two eggs. Two is a traditional number for the feminine and creative energies. No matter what our life conditions, new waters, new life, are still possible. The song seems more distinct at dawn and dusk. Help you to use these times to see the creation process active within your own life. Mourn what has passed, but awaken to the promise of the future. Bird of prophecy. Can represent movement and travel, or maybe it showed up to help you with movement. Symbol of desire - especially sexual. May be time to examine aspects of travel and freedom in your life. Feeling constricted? Need to move on or let others move on? Time to assert your freedom and your power in new areas? Doing your part to assist civilization in your environment? Are others? Are you Yo outing what this civilization has given you. New journeys. Teach you how to ride into new directions to awaken and discover your own freedom and power.

The main meaning of ladybugs centers around good fortune, true love, innocence, needing to make the right choices in life, happy resolutions, etc. So what does it mean to see a ladybug?

When you encounter the ladybug spirit animal at any point, you can be sure that positive transformations are on the way.

You can trust this humble creature to brighten even the gloomiest of days and brighten your outlook on life should you come across it. The symbolism represents the time of the fruition of your dreams and wishes.

Understanding the symbolism meaning helps you understand how reaching newer heights and higher goals are possible. In due course, with the right approach and positive changes, your efforts and desires will come to pass if you follow the true preaching of the ladybug symbolism.

What do ladybugs mean when they cross paths with you or visit your homes? You could take it as a sign to halt a bit in life, perhaps, if you have been going too fast to achieve your dreams.
