Theme – Self-Realization

I feel as though this was part of The Trinity some other time recently. *shrugs* [Repetition is Necessary.] Self-Realization is the first step in Self-Actualization. But it is not just a matter of coming to ‘know who you are,’ or, ‘finding your way.’ It’s not just about realizing and accepting your interests and passions and expressions. It is also about realizing and accepting all of the darker sides of the self as well. We all have traits that are darker, heavier, more chaotic. They are what they are and there is very little we can do about that. For instance, I have ego. It’s just that simple. It’s part of my makeup. It’s who I am. I’m not ever going to change it. [I’ve tried.] I don’t have to change it. I merely need to be aware of it and when I see it creeping into a moment, I must acknowledge it, and make my next choice wisely.

Lesson – The Next Step is Always the First Step

Very often when we have projects and tasks before us, we only see the long haul – the overall project. This can make it all seem very overwhelming. But everything in life has smaller bits and pieces. If we pull away from the big picture we start to see the individual pieces, or steps. It is then we can begin to tackle even the most overbearing of tasks. I find that, typically, the steps are little projects or tasks all on their own. So, the first step is just a task. When it is done, it can be put on hold and you canmove on to the next step. At this point, The Next Step is the First Step. [And, once you take ‘the first step’ the rest is easy.]

Observation – Growing Pains Never Stop

We are in a state of constant growth and development. Long after our bodies stop ‘growing,’ our hearts, our minds, and our spirits are shifting and changing. Every experience, every moment, shifts…something. Every choice begets the next. Every action has an equal and opposite reaction. So, we are always growing…Self-realizing and Self-actualizing. Every new situation, new experience[new moment,] brings with it growth. We are challenged to face the new and the unknown. We are challenged by our fears and doubts and misgivings. We are challenged by those same things, but those held by others. We are challenged to go out of our comfort zone or change a habit. We are challenged – even if just for a moment – to live different, to be different. Basically…the right moments should always feel a little uncomfortable. [growing pains.]

The Post

I really never know where to start with these posts. Every week is an intense week, a crazy week, an inspiring week.

What a week.

What the week is is always the same. How the week plays out is what is so very different. This week certainly had its own rhythm and pace.

I wasn’t real sure how I felt coming into this week. Last week was very intensive. There was a lot of work and abundance and time to get caught up on things. It was [what seemed like] balanced. It didn’t quite play out the way I was hoping, but it certainly played out perfectly.

Last week left me perfectly set up for coming into this week. I cannot remember the last time I started a week with actual funds in the bank. It seemed lately as though I was always working Monday to cover a deficit.

I had extra funds. Funds that were not calculated into this week’s budget. That was my plan for last week. That was what I wanted to accomplish. I didn’t quite make the extra I was hoping for but it was slightly more than I was expecting towards the end.

The plan for this week was the same. I had created a budget that should have left me with a bit more advance funds than I had at the start of the week. But, this week did not flow the same as last. The first few days of the week were rough. I was not making my Goals at all. I really wasn’t sure how this was going to play out.

I had buffers in place. I always do. Still, I didn’t make my Goals but I was making it through the week. Little by Little, Bit by Bit. It required me to cut this out or that. I had to remove my buffers in the budget. I just had to adjust every day along the way.

The bills got paid. Everyone was fed. The Rocket stayed on the road. And, somehow, by the end of the week, I was able to take the whole of today off and still clear some money going into next week. It’s not much. It’s less than what I started with, but it is something. This is good because I have no idea what tomorrow [Labor Day] is going to hold in regards to working. Holidays like that are weird. Business and restaurants can be closed. We shall see.

The kids being here has been intense. To say the least. It’s an adjustment for everyone. I’m certainly learning, or remembering, a lot about myself. For instance, how important stillness and silence are to my well-being. I am high maintenance in that respect. I need to spend a lot of time decompressing and transmuting the energies from my day. This has led to some tensions and some incidents.

I also find myself very self-aware. I am trying very hard to keep a balance. We are going through some very natural ego cycles and I am trying very hard to keep mine in check. I’ve noticed that in conflict a lot of my ‘dealing’ techniques are trigger reactions from dealing with life in Olde Geistopia. Not just reactions that I learned in response but also a mimic of their reactions. It’s all trigger responses from years of that life.

I also catch myself in the mindset of my parents – “my house…my rules…my stuff” All of that stuff may be true but, in many instances, it is unnecessary. It’s all about finding those fine lines and defining them. Choosing things to have moments about. This is their home too and I do want them to feel comfortable and relaxed and welcome. I do not want to restrict their lives or make them feel like they can’t function around me.

But…I also need them to respect me and my space and my life. We’ll get there. But not without bumps in the road. We are still learning to communicate and function together.

As the week marched on I had to make some choices and decisions. There was a birthday party for Big Boss today and Iwas so honoured to have been invited that I knew I had to go. The problem was that it was in the middle of the day. This was going to make driving a challenge. As always I tried to figure out how I could make the most of the situation.

I had decided that I could just take the day off and do the party. After the party I could manage some loose ends and odd jobs. I wanted to go to Saint Diane’s to do some work and I have that guy who I owe three hours to. Plus, I had cans to pick up and groceries to get.

Saint Diane decided to wait on the work now until Spring. The other guy never got back to me. I’m kinda done with that now. I’ll just have to find another way to find resolution on that. I’m not OK leaving it unfinished [or paid back] and he doesn’t seem communicative. For now, it will go on the back burner again until I figure it out.

This week was very…magickal for me. I spent more focused time on my rituals and devotions. There were days that they would completely overwhelm my systems. [And that’s a good thing. Or can be.] I have been putting the focus in because of my realizations about keeping the home energies balanced and in tune. It’s very different with other people in the house. Onone hand it is nice, because there are always energies at work here. There is life. However, most of it is them and then their energies start to overtake the space.

There was also activity of the Demon and the Daemon and some angels. Perhaps even a faerie or two. I don’t know. It was just very immersive. I feel like I spent a good part of the week on a completely different plane. Especially today.

Today was my kind of day.

I was up sometime between 0430 and 0530 and I just went all morning. I worked at this and did that. I tweaked here and there. I got so much done. Most of it was silly little projects or tasks here or there. Some of it was stuff I hadn’t even given a thought until it was happening.

I love moments like this. They are the moments I live for. It just feels good to accomplish things and to see life take shape. It feels good to get in tune with the home and property – to be aware of things.

I spent some time in waking meditation. I saged the house and vibed. I even went out to The Grove and let it speak to me. There could be fun plans in the work for next outdoor season. Even when I left the house for the party I was pulling on some energies. I needed to wear my necklace and even packed a bag for the day. I haven’t packed a stone bag in a very long time.

The party was a good time and I was very glad I was there. There are still big plans in the works for The Theatre and I am curious to see how I end up fitting into them.

Honestly, I am curious to see how I fit in plans in general.

The Totems & Archetypes

**from Ted Andrews’ Animal Speak**

Cricket –[from Spirit-animal.com]

Like the Ladybug and the Dragonfly, Cricket symbolism is a sign of exceptional luck. Furthermore, this spirit animal says that the things that you have been working toward and dreaming about are now possible. Therefore, Cricket meaning directs you to stay open to guidance and messages so that you will know what you have to do. You may be guided to buy a lottery ticket, interview for a new job, or be in the right place at the right time. In other words, Cricket symbolism is letting you know that all things are possible right now. All you have to do is feel that you deserve it! Similar to the Robin and the Whale, people with Cricket totem know how to sing their songs loud and clear! In other words, they love to use the power of their voice to attract what they want in life. These folks also have a gift for finding their way through awkward moments with panache and aplomb. People with this spirit animal are excellent communicators, love to walk their talk and are often vegetarian. In fact, like the Deer totem, they understand the power of music and will usually have a career that uses music as a form of healing.

Crow - The Secret Magic of Creation is Calling

Magic and creation are potentials very much alive during the day. Alchemy. Represents “ingredients,” the initial state of substance - unformed but full of potential. A reminder of what an happen if we are not looking for magic and creation every day. Magic and creation are ‘cawing’ out to us every day. Health, home and respect. Working with crows can help you to see how the winds are going to blow into your life and how to adjust your own life flights. Finding a dead crow was a sign of good luck. Wherever crows are there is magic. Symbols of creation and spiritual strength. Look for opportunities to create and manifest the magic of life. They are messengers calling to us about the magic that is alive within our world everyday and available to us.

Deer – Gentleness and Innocence – Gentle Luring to New Adventures

They have been able to adapt to every sort of habitat. Buddha is often pictured with a deer. Antlers are symbols of antennae, connections to higher forms of attunement. Look for new perceptions and degrees of perceptions to expand for as much as the next five years. Can indicate that there will be opportunities to stimulate gentle new growth increasingly over the next few years. Leads us back to the primal wisdom. A deer’s senses are very acute. Find increasing ability to detect subtle movements and appearances. Begin to hear what may not be said directly. Time to be gentle with yourself and others. A new innocence and freshness is about to be awakened or born. There is going to be a gentle, enticing lure of new adventures. Are you trying to force things? Are others? Are you being too critical and uncaring of yourself? An opportunity to express gentle love that will open new doors to adventure for you.

Dragonfly – The Power of Light

Inhabit two realms – water and air. The significance of these should be studied. There must be expressions of the emotional and the mental together. You may need some fresh air in regards to something emotional. You may need to gain new perspective or make a change. May even indicate that you are neglecting your emotions. Are you being too rational about everything? Are you not keeping the colors of emotion alive?

Eagle - Illumination of Spirit, Healing, and Creation.

Balance of being of the Earth, but not in it. The soul, the spirit, and warmth of life. The resurrection. Punishment and reward. Greater sight and perception. Reflects an awakening ability or the need to learn to walk between worlds. Heroic nobility and divine spirit. The rediscovery of the inner child. Alchemy. Involvement with creativity. A willingness to experience extremes in a controlled condition. A willingness to use your passions to purify and to use your abilities, even if you get scorched a little in the process. The need to stay connected to and use things of the Earth. Important to know when to speak, how much, how strongly. New vision will open. The ability to hear - spiritually and physically - may also increase. Cooperative responsibility. A healing role. Opportunities (even those thought long lost) will arise - learn to see and snatch them up. A new sense of timing and movement will begin to develop Primal force inherent and easily awakened. Take on the responsibility and the power of becoming so much more than you now appear to be. Events will now fly faster, repercussions for everything you think, do and say (or fail to) - positive and negative - will be both stronger and quicker. A powerful new dimension to life and a heightened responsibility for your spiritual growth. Touch all of life with healing and become the mediator and the bearer of new creative forces within the world.

Fly – [*from trustedpsychicmediums.com*]

When the fly spirit animal makes its way into your life, this usually serves as a warning that there’s danger lurking somewhere.

It means to catch your attention when you are spending too much of your time with someone or on something that has a destructive influence.

The fly meaning brings to focus to anything that’s causing harm to your life, whether of your own choosing or not. An example of this is giving in to societal pressures and indifference.

Just like the cricket spirit animal, the meaning of the fly also speaks about hate, spite, malice, or blame. It buzzes to be heard and flies overhead annoyingly until you are forced to swat or kill it with anything you can get your hands on.

However, before you dismiss the fly as nothing but bad and undesirable, the fly symbolism also speaks about cures for sicknesses (just like the deer symbolism).

The meaning of the fly also serves as a reminder that you reap what you sow.

What you put out there to the world will come back to you a hundredfold, so make sure that your actions, thoughts, and words come from a place of love and goodness.

The fly spirit animal symbolizes abundance and prosperity during times of adversity.

It sends the message that by being persistent, consistent, and determined even in the face of tragedy will result to victory.

The fly signifies encouragement, because it does a very excellent job of goading you with its presence until you surrender to what it wants and let you be.

It will always fasten on you, arouse you, reproach you, or persuade you, and will not be satisfied until you get on your feet and achieve what you set out to achieve.

Hawk - Visionary Power and Guardianship.

Messengers, protectors and visionaries. Visionary power and leading you to your life purpose. There is a message coming. What you eat, you become. Kundalini. Childhood visions are becoming empowered and fulfilled. The ability to soar and glide upon the currents. Great Heights while still keeping your feet on the ground. Attacks by people who won’t understand you - attack your ability to soar. Teaching of higher expression of psychosis and vision. Beauty and harmony in moderation. Lead you to using your creative energy in manifesting your soul purpose. Hope and new ideas. A need to be open to the new or shows ways that you may help teach others to be open to the new. Be observant. Life is sending signals. Careful in expression. Comments and actions will be strong and powerful with the ability to tear and/or kill.

Heron - The Call of The Quest and Travels to Legendary Places.

Reflects a stimulation of the childhood thrill and belief in legendary places. [The story(s) we most loved in childhood often reflect the life quest we have come to take upon us in this lifetime.] Can also aid in communication especially through the use of stories. Individuals wishing to write can facilitate the process by working with a goose totem. It will stimulate the creative process and help to move through creative blocks. Also a symbol of fertility and marital fidelity. May reflect a need for more vegetables in the diet. An ability to move forward or backward. Reflects movement. A call to the spiritual quest. It reminds us that as any one individual makes his or her quest, it becomes easier for others to do so as well. We should not undertake any quest in life without having a full view of what it entails. Opening to new possibilities. Affix ourselves to a new path. Great fertility that should be acted upon if growth is desired. Greater vision, physical and spiritual, will occur. Can reflect that you are about to break free from old childhood restraints and begin to come into your own. You can expect to have the imagination stirred toward new travels and distant places - whether in the body or in the mind.
