I want it to be known that I am writing under duress. All I really want to do right this moment is lay down and go to sleep. It has been a very hard 24 hours. Of which, less than 5 (non-consecutive] hours were sleep.

So, here is where we find ourselves today, Fellow Travelers.

The sale of the house fell through. Unfortunately, this throws off my conception of the timing of sharing these entries. I had planned it out so the last one [which may very well be the one you are currently reading] would post after December 17th. I figured at that point there would be some resolution and we could call it The End.

There is not yet resolution.

So, they did decide to rent the house. I found this out yesterday when Brother John messaged me to let me know he was bringing some people by to look at the house. Needless to say, that whole moment sent me spinning into panic and fear. My head got all clouded.

Part of it was the worry of them finding a renter. Part of it was panic as I tried to quickly analyze my finances to see what I think I can pull off. And a part of it was sort of shock. I’ve been dropping little hints that I am interested in the home in the hopes that when we got to this point they would come to me and at least give me a chance to be denied first. [LOL.] I don’t really mean it that way.

[And Brother John, if/when you read this – do not take any of that to heart or feel bad or any particular way. It’s not a thing. It was just a moment…and I am way beyond it now.]

Anyway, after Brother John and The Perspective left, Cuddlebug wanted a Reiki Session. [I need a new name for this.] I’m glad she did. Not only did she need it [which I fully realized during the session,] but it helped distract my panic and worry. It put my spirit back in line which ultimately cleared my mind. This allowed me to proceed productively.

I really do want to go to bed [but my instructions are to complete this.] So, I think I am going to try to give you the bullet points.

I know what they are asking for rent. I would certainly be more comfortable if it were a little bit lower. Nonetheless, I have worked and reworked my numbers several times over today. My final summation is that I can make it work. It won’t be easy. It probably won’t be fun. It will leave my budget tighter than most people would ever be comfortable. But then, after my life, that is my comfort zone. It is just what I know about living.

But, I also know that, with a home to be settled and grounded in, I have plenty of resources for building more income. It will be a slow process. There is no quick turn around on any of these things. Each one will take time to just get back into the groove and start the ball rolling. Likewise, each will take time, after being put into motion, to start bearing fruit.

Based on the recent whispers of March, plus what I know of the Cycle of Creation [Always in 3, such as months…such as March,] I am going to have to say that I will be able to have enough straightened out to be productive and on point by March. And, I just mean that January and February will be a struggle and stressful. They will be a challenge.

I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t scared shitless. I could totally understand them not being comfortable with my situation. Again, I won’t elaborate at this moment. However, the more I go over it all in my head, the more I realize there are so many places and ways I can trim fat off of my budget. There are so many ways The Universe can as well [and has in the past.] There is so much potential for income growth.

I would just need to stay centered, focused, and on point. I have lived a life of the seemingly impossible happening. So, I find comfort in the fact that I actually see possibility.

For now, the plan is to go to their new house on Wednesday night and talk about things.

Somehow, sometime, somewhere I will tell you how it all plays out, Fellow Travelers.

Wednesday, December 14, 2022

So, today is the day.

Tonight I go over to Brother John’s to talk with him and Sister Jen about the house. It’s not going to be easy and I’m sure it will be uncomfortable. It’s going to be a hard sell. I cannot offer exactly what they want. I mean, I can’t do 1st/last. I can meet the amount each month but I think I need to do it in weekly payments.

I know I am seen as a gamble and a risk. I always have been seen that way. And, many times in the past, I would have to say that was true. I don’t feel that way right now. I want to say I believe I can do this, but it is more than that. I know I can. I know it won’t be easy. But time, effort, and focus will see me through.

Well, all of that and G-d, of course.

My stomach has been in knots. My inner workings have been different. It’s a cleansing. A purging.

OK. I just wanted to touch base. I need to get moving now.

Saturday, December 17, 2022

So, I have been wanting to write for a few days. I tried on Thursday, but I wasn’t quite with myself that day.

Anyway, I went over to Brother John and Sister Jen’s on Wednesday. I got there just in time to have a little pizza. We just kind of hung out and chatted and ate for a bit. Afterwards, it was time for business.

I made my pitch. I had given it all a lot of thought, only because I wanted to speak the best I could. I stressed how badly I need a home. It’s not even a want. It is a legit need at this point. I talked about all the good that has come from being here recently. Then I made my financial proposal.

I am not the best tenant on paper. I’m a damn good tenant. I take care of things and I don’t bother anyone. But, financially, I look a mess. I know that no landlord would take a chance on how tight my life is. But, it is workable. It just doesn’t look that way on paper.

I can’t do a deposit or first and last. I won’t pass a credit check – despite the work and improvements I have put in thus far. I can’t even gather that sum of money together all at once. Not in any comfortable manner nor timeframe anyway. However, I can make weekly payments. That is the safest and most comfortable option.

That is what I proposed. I left them to think and talk it over. From there I went off to Spooky’s son’s holiday concert at school. I had done all I could and now all I could do was wait and see what they thought.

I know, at this point, what their decision was.

*sigh*

But you will have to wait until Sunday’s post to find out for yourselves, Fellow Travelers. For now, take a look at the Totems involved.

The Totems & Archetypes

**from Ted Andrews’ Animal Speak**

Chipmunk – (from whatismyspiritanimal.com)

Chipmunks don’t really have a lot of enemies mostly because they’re clever enough to avoid troublesome situations; this creature is very adaptable and will live nearly anywhere that suits them, including under your patio. Being picky isn’t really in Chipmunk’s character makeup.

Similar to Squirrels, Chipmunk always prepares for seasonal shifts in food supplies by stashing some neatly away. They are diligent about preparing for the future and have more than one entrance and exit to their favorite hiding spots. Young Chipmunks depend on their mother for about six weeks. Even then, the energy level for Chipmunk is pretty perky. As Chipmunks eat nuts and acorns, they also have an important role to play in spreading seeds and spores.

Norse myths tell us that either a Chipmunk or Squirrel runs up and down the World Tree delivering messages to and from the Gods (Odin in particular). The symbolism here combines with the Chipmunk’s habit of chattering as if there is always something new about which to talk. Saga, a Goddess of history and bardic arts, also has a Chipmunk companion.

An Irish Goddess by the name of Medb is said to have this little guy as a sacred animal. Medb oversees matters of health, prosperity, sexuality, and fertility; this last attribute is one that fits Chipmunk very well. Females can have up to three litters a year with five pups in each.

Chipmunk is prolific as a way of offsetting a rather short lifespan of only about three years. As we observe Chipmunk Spirit in nature, it becomes evident that they are very curious. There is little that goes undetected by our forest friend. They also seem fairly determined to do things in their own manner and time. When courting or feeling threatened, they may let out a little chirp that sounds bird-like.

For the most part, Chipmunk is not aggressive. The only time they really seem to fight among themselves if there’s the perception that food lacks. As long as edibles are in ample supply, they get along with each other very well. Greed is a term that seems to have been left out of Chipmunk’s vocabulary.

Chipmunk Spirit Animal comes into our lives for various reasons. One might have to do with the way you communicate. Chipmunk is a chatterbox, but as a Divine emissary, his words are chosen carefully. It may be time to assess how much of your discussions with others are filled with “fluff” rather than meaningful meat.

Another lesson from Chipmunk Spirit Animal deals with the element of surprise and an awareness of our environment. If you watch, Chipmunks seem to be able to appear as if from thin air, then duck away again into another realm. He knows his pathways intimately and rarely gets lost. It may be that Chipmunk advises laying low and not showing your hand too soon. He also reminds you to have sound exit strategies.

If your life has become rather dull, Chipmunk Medicine will definitely pick things up. Chipmunk is always ready for an adventure and loves exploring. When he is part of your life, it’s most definitely time to come out of your shell and find new ventures or discoveries; this need not be a huge thing. Sometimes the simple wonders are the most exciting! Chipmunk’s excitement is very contagious. And if you haven’t been very social lately, prepare for a BIG change.

Chipmunk also represents energy and activity. You will never get anywhere in life by just standing still. It’s time to get up and engage life fully. Use this season as an opportunity for changing things up so that your personal spaces are light-hearted and comfortable in every way possible. Living joyfully is one of Chipmunk’s core virtues as is playing and having fun.

When it comes to your resources, Chipmunk sometimes appears as a sign that you need to better prepare for a period ahead when finances become tight. Set up a rainy-day fund. Make sure it’s safe and secure so you can use it come proverbial bad weather.

Finally, if you are starting on a particular magical study, Chipmunk may have been attracted to you because of that emerging energy. Chipmunk is a Spirit of wish fulfillment and will power; this Guide can help you move toward greater knowledge in your arts.

Cricket –[from Spirit-animal.com]

Like the Ladybug and the Dragonfly, Cricket symbolism is a sign of exceptional luck. Furthermore, this spirit animal says that the things that you have been working toward and dreaming about are now possible. Therefore, Cricket meaning directs you to stay open to guidance and messages so that you will know what you have to do. You may be guided to buy a lottery ticket, interview for a new job, or be in the right place at the right time. In other words, Cricket symbolism is letting you know that all things are possible right now. All you have to do is feel that you deserve it! Similar to the Robin and the Whale, people with Cricket totem know how to sing their songs loud and clear! In other words, they love to use the power of their voice to attract what they want in life. These folks also have a gift for finding their way through awkward moments with panache and aplomb. People with this spirit animal are excellent communicators, love to walk their talk and are often vegetarian. In fact, like the Deer totem, they understand the power of music and will usually have a career that uses music as a form of healing.

Deer – Gentleness and Innocence – Gentle Luring to New Adventures

They have been able to adapt to every sort of habitat. Buddha is often pictured with a deer. Antlers are symbols of antennae, connections to higher forms of attunement. Look for new perceptions and degrees of perceptions to expand for as much as the next five years. Can indicate that there will be opportunities to stimulate gentle new growth increasingly over the next few years. Leads us back to the primal wisdom. A deer’s senses are very acute. Find increasing ability to detect subtle movements and appearances. Begin to hear what may not be said directly. Time to be gentle with yourself and others. A new innocence and freshness is about to be awakened or born. There is going to be a gentle, enticing lure of new adventures. Are you trying to force things? Are others? Are you being too critical and uncaring of yourself? An opportunity to express gentle love that will open new doors to adventure for you.

Dragonfly – The Power of Light

Inhabit two realms – water and air. The significance of these should be studied. There must be expressions of the emotional and the mental together. You may need some fresh air in regards to something emotional. You may need to gain new perspective or make a change. May even indicate that you are neglecting your emotions. Are you being too rational about everything? Are you not keeping the colors of emotion alive?

Fly – [*from trustedpsychicmediums.com*]

When the fly spirit animal makes its way into your life, this usually serves as a warning that there’s danger lurking somewhere.

It means to catch your attention when you are spending too much of your time with someone or on something that has a destructive influence.

The fly meaning brings to focus to anything that’s causing harm to your life, whether of your own choosing or not. An example of this is giving in to societal pressures and indifference.

Just like the cricket spirit animal, the meaning of the fly also speaks about hate, spite, malice, or blame. It buzzes to be heard and flies overhead annoyingly until you are forced to swat or kill it with anything you can get your hands on.

However, before you dismiss the fly as nothing but bad and undesirable, the fly symbolism also speaks about cures for sicknesses (just like the deer symbolism).

The meaning of the fly also serves as a reminder that you reap what you sow.

What you put out there to the world will come back to you a hundredfold, so make sure that your actions, thoughts, and words come from a place of love and goodness.

The fly spirit animal symbolizes abundance and prosperity during times of adversity.

It sends the message that by being persistent, consistent, and determined even in the face of tragedy will result to victory.

The fly signifies encouragement, because it does a very excellent job of goading you with its presence until you surrender to what it wants and let you be.

It will always fasten on you, arouse you, reproach you, or persuade you, and will not be satisfied until you get on your feet and achieve what you set out to achieve.
