It is…Sunday, May 25, Two-Thousand and Twenty-Jive. Time...???
Theme – When It's Done, It's Done
The beginning is always the hard part. t's hart to make the commitment - time, energy, money, etc. The initial force brings the pain and discomfort - such as the soreness from new exercise. A good example of how this revealed itself to me this week is flowerbeds. I've been wanting to clean up and mulch the beds for two years. I've been working at it lately. One by one I have been moving through them. Not only are those beds now done but the upkeep will be minimized as well. I lay paper beneath the mulch so for at least this season each of those beds will be easier to tend. It's done!
Lesson – Not in Our Time
We think we are in control. We set Goals, and schedules, and timelines. We move forward believing we control all of these things. For the most part we do. But, in life, anything can happen. Even the best laid plan can experience unexpected challenges. I had a financial plan. All I had to do was get through the holidays. Then I had the stroke. Now, here I am, 5 months from the holidays and I am barely scraping by. Still, Everything Happens for a Reason - Precise & Perfectly Placed. I came upon this thing called Jewelweed. It's juices naturally counteract Poison Ivy. We have Poison Ivy all over this property. I though it only appropriate to also have the counter agent. The nursery where I went didn't have any for sale but did have some to give me. The man said, "I bet you you'll find it in your treeline." I came home and inspected part of the treeline. I saw what might have been young growth but ok whatever. I went about my day and decided to go do the work around the tree in the back. There I found some Jewelweed. Had I done that work when I wanted I would have pulled it and gotten rid of it.
Observation – Every So Often You Need to Reset
We move about so swiftly. Flitting to and fro, dealing with this and that. Things gather and scatter. Piles form Messes are made. I see this the most in The Workshop. I work on so many things at once and before I know it I have pieces and tools all over the place. Every so often I have to take a break from the hustle and bustle and tweak things back into place. ONce It's Done, It's Done and I can move forward strongly. This is how the mind and spirit work as well. The emotions, too, I suppose. Every so often you just need to take a moment and clear it all out.
The Post
I've been in a funk lately. Nothing bad. I can't say I've been particularly depressed or anything. Just a funk. Almost as if I have been on a bit of an autopilot.
I'm not even sure what to write about this whole week (if not the last two) is a blur - Once Upon Ago. Nothing has gone quite the way I planned but I feel accomplished. I got the Garden shed straightened up [and then put more stuff in it - temporarily.] I got some projects under way in The Workshop and even straightened it up. I got the yard mowed and trimmed. I even almost got the house cleaned. [I stopped when I realized I need mop heads.]
I got gardening caught up a bit. I sdtill have the front beds to do - the large one and those two beasts.
I feel caught up and I didn't even realize I was behind.
I feel calm and collected.
It's been a rough couple of weeks. So much activity. So much drama and emotion. So much pain. Everything seems to have cleared up and settled down. I hope. I feel like I have been worked over, but in a good way.
Today, especially, has been strange and rough. The day started as I expected. I got up and slowly got ready to get out on the road. Then the day took a turn.
I noticed the one side of the sink wasn't draining properly. I have a mini-snake and tried that but that seemed to make the problem worse. So, I ended up having to empty the cabinet and crawl in there and take all the pipes apart to clear the clog. I sprayed everything off outside with the hose. The project itself went smoothly. It just wasn't part of my plan today. I knew right where the wrench was that I needed. That's odd for a tool like that - one I don't use but every so often. I had a supply of thread tape for re-sealing the joints. All the pipes came out - and returned - with ease.
I then putr the apps on. I got one job and headed out. I've been wanting to stop at the nursery up the street for a while and my return drive was going to bring me right past it. So, I decided it was time to stop. I needed two more herbs for the planter box [and to finish the magick we started.] Of course, I was also hunting for Jewelweed. I bought Italian Parsley and Lemongrass. They didn't have Jeweklweed to sell, but I happen to ask the owner about it and he had some growing wild in the woods. So, he pulled me some. I also found a new source for pallets.
I came home and found myself starting the project around the tree. I slowly took everything out that I needed. I cleared out the bed and cut back some branches. I had some stones that inspired me as a border but I didn't have nearly enough. So I went for a hunt through the trench. I find quite a good load but I still need more. I laid the paper and spread the mulch. I also took a few breaks along the way.
Before long I found myself working the side beds as well. I figured I should just get them done and then it wouldn't be hanging over my head anymore. So now all of that is done.
In the shop, I straightened some things up and organized, I took care of some storing options. I have flag pieces cut except for sides. Those need to be measured for each flag. Before I do that I want to sand down the pieces I have done. Before I do that I want to create a holder for my hand sander. I had one for my old sander. It allows me to use it more like a table sander. I can run the pieces across it instead oftrying to run it along the pieces. I am cyphering that out now.
I'm also cyphering out a planter box for The Theatre. I have the wood I can use. [Thank you pallets.] I just need to figure out the build and what I am doing for the bottom. Then I may have to buy some stain and possibly polyurethane. If I'm going to do it, I want it to be nice and also last. I think I'm also going to paint their name on it.
I've been so consumed that I forgot I was in The Quest. Kind of. I knew I was questing and I've had my my eye on that June 5th date. But I forgot that I was doing 11 day cycles. Today is actually Day 22. I came to that realization just yesterday.
So, I had to go back and look. All of the drama, and most of the resolution, came in the first 11 days. Sunshine and The Landlord happened on Day 1. Cuddlebug on Day 9. The Landlord and Cuddlebug had come to some sort of peace on Day 10. Sunshine is going to take a little longer. [And a finesse I may not possess.]
Things with Cuddlebug seem to be settled for the moment, but I sense a lingering. I need to finish the chat board [another project in The Workshop] before there can be more.
I can't say I totally understand where things are with The Landlord. I know we're gonna try. My first step is to make sure I make the rent payments from June on. Then I still have the back rent. I don't know how exactly that happens yet. I also don't know yet what kind of timeline there is, if any. So I can't think about it because I can't process it yet. All I can do is keep moving forward and do the best that I can.
Work hasn't quite been going how I wanted but that's ok. I'm still being productive and building the future. The things that have been getting done needed to be done sooner or later. Now they are done and I can move forward and focus on work as its time and be able to get other things done here as I can.
I'm boggled by my loss of sense of time. Like...everything from From The Landlord meeting on is mostly a blur. It happened. It happened fast. I'm still not sure what all got done or shifted. I'm honestly feeling a little lost. Of course, that could be the New Moon as well.
I'm intrigued by it all. Nothing is going as I had hoped but then nothing ever does. But things are happening and balancing and getting on track. I don't know how anything goes from here...but I am certainly interested in finding out.

The Totems & Archetypes
from Ted Andrews’ Animal Speak
Ant - Industriousness, Order, and Discipline
Symbol of work and industry. Wisdom and intellect in their endeavors is often acclaimed. Social. Community activity. Gathering, hunting, growing. May find that the cycle of industriousness and building of goals may increase over a period of twelve years. Cycle of twelve - days, months, years - will be of significance. Teacher of how to build, how to be the architect of your own life. Show you how to construct our dreams into a reality. Greatest success occurs with persistence. Examine your own industriousness. Are you disciplining yourself enough to accomplish the tasks at hand? Are you or those around you looking for the quick and easy way? Are you neglecting important activities? Are you laying a good foundation? Are you adding new structures to your life with each passing year in some fashion - education, jobs, hobbies, etc? Are you being patient with your efforts? Are you being patient with yourself? With others? Are you making things greater and more difficult than they need to be? Are you missing the opportunity to initiate new creativity and endeavors? Can teach how to harness your own power to design and recreate your life. Can show you how best to work with others for the good of everyone. Regardless of circumstances, if the effort is true, the rewards will follow - in the most beneficial time and manner. The promise of success through effort.
Flamingo [spirit-animals.com]– Flamingo symbolism is reminding you to get in touch with your emotions. It is a good idea to allow yourself to feel so that you can process your feelings. Furthermore, this spirit animal will enable you to grow through releasing issues. In other words, if you bottle things up, you will find yourself reacting rather than acting appropriately. Therefore, the Flamingo meaning dictates that you must allow yourself to release your feelings so that you can come into balance again. Alternatively, like the Prairie Dog, Flamingo symbolism may be letting you know that it is time for you to get out and socialize. Therefore it is time to have some fun in your life. Moreover, socializing will help let go of stressful situations and coming to terms with changes in your life. Correspondingly, this bird also brings new ideas and options that will come to you while immersing yourself in the company of others. It will also allow you to find balance and gratitude for what you have. It will give you a greater appreciation of those around you. Conversely, Flamingo symbolism may be pointing out that you are blending in a bit too well right now. In other words, you need to allow yourself to be different and to think for yourself. Thus, the Flamingo meaning prompts you to maintain your individuality within the crowds.
Fly – [*from trustedpsychicmediums.com*]
When the fly spirit animal makes its way into your life, this usually serves as a warning that there’s danger lurking somewhere.
It means to catch your attention when you are spending too much of your time with someone or on something that has a destructive influence.
The fly meaning brings to focus to anything that’s causing harm to your life, whether of your own choosing or not. An example of this is giving in to societal pressures and indifference.
Just like the cricket spirit animal, the meaning of the fly also speaks about hate, spite, malice, or blame. It buzzes to be heard and flies overhead annoyingly until you are forced to swat or kill it with anything you can get your hands on.
However, before you dismiss the fly as nothing but bad and undesirable, the fly symbolism also speaks about cures for sicknesses (just like the deer symbolism).
The meaning of the fly also serves as a reminder that you reap what you sow.
What you put out there to the world will come back to you a hundredfold, so make sure that your actions, thoughts, and words come from a place of love and goodness.
The fly spirit animal symbolizes abundance and prosperity during times of adversity.
It sends the message that by being persistent, consistent, and determined even in the face of tragedy will result to victory.
The fly signifies encouragement, because it does a very excellent job of goading you with its presence until you surrender to what it wants and let you be.
Groundhog – Mystery of Death without Dying – Trance - Dreams
The ability to get deep within an area of interest. A time when a new area of study is going to open up. Two years to come to full fruition. Important to give definite signals to the boundaries you wish to have respected in your life. Death without Dying. A time of initiation. A symbol of opening fully to the Dreamtime. Increasing ability to develop lucid dreaming. Clarity and power of altered states will be amplified. Dreams will become more significant. Opportunity to explore deeper states of consciousness. Lessons associated with death and dying. Revelations about its process. Knowledge of metabolic control.
Owl - The Mystery of Magic, Omens, Silent Wisdom, and Vision in the Night
Symbol of the feminine and the night. Ties to fertility and seduction. Bird of magic and darkness, of prophecy and wisdom. Symbolically associated with clairvoyance, astral projection and magic, both black and white. Hints of the light of the sun, alive in the dark of night. Meditation on this alone will reveal much about the magic of Owl within your life. Will be able to see and hear what others are trying to hide. What is not being said. See what is hidden or in the shadows. Detect and pinpoint the subtleties. Unique ability to see into the darkness of others’ souls. And life. Their medicine can extract secrets. If your neck is stiff and inflexible, you are hindering your perceptions to a great degree. Often reflects that you were born very perceptive - with a vision of others that you may or may not have recognized or acknowledged. Unique ability for seeing into the eyes and souls of others. Keep silent and go about your business. Eliminate those aspects that are not beneficial and unhealthy.
Rabbit - Fertility and New Life
Often seen as an animal that can lead one unknowingly into the Faerie realm. A symbol for sexuality and fertility. Usually, you will begin to see a cycle of 28 days beginning to manifest in your life. Those with rabbit totems will see movement occur in their life in varying degrees of hops and leaps. It won’t be steady step-by-step movement. The leaps and hops do not usually take more than the cycle of The Moon (28 days) to occur. Plan for possibilities. May indicate the need to do some more planning or review those you have already set in motion. You do not want to box yourself into a corner. Important not to foreshadow your moves. Learning to shift from freezing to great speeds will aid in your success and enables you to take advantage of opportunities that may present themselves for brief moments. May need to examine the kinds of food being consumed. For the greatest health and well-being, a vegetarian diet, even if only temporary, will strengthen and heal. How to recognize the tides of movement within your life. This in turn will enable you to become even more fertile in your life.
Snake – Rebirth, Resurrection, Initiation, and Wisdom
Symbol of transformation and healing. Also alchemy and healing. Sexual/creative life force. Kundalini. Compassion, clairvoyance and charm. Lessons of forgiveness, superstitiousness, and possessiveness. Wisdom and understanding. Birth and death. Transmutation. Are you needing to make changes, but aren’t for some reason? Are you trying to force change too quickly. Are you striking out at people and shouldn’t? Are you not striking and should? What is needing to be healed? What opportunities are surfacing that you need to strike out for and take advantage of?
