Theme – Productivity

This has come up a lot recently. The question is, “Am I not being productive enough, or am I trying too hard to get things done?” I do not have that answer. I feel like I am constantly on the go, chipping away at things, yet I don’t feel as though I have accomplished nearly enough. Perhaps it is more of a message about readjusting my focus and being productive differently.

Lesson – Shhh!!

This has definitely come up many times and in different ways. I don’t really know what to say about it. But, then, the Lesson itself seems to dictate that I say nothing.

Observation – It’s Not as Hard as We Make It

We get so involved, so attached, to the process that is our lives. We get so into labels and limitations. We engage in the Should Be-s. [Remember those? Life ‘should be’ this, or I ‘should be’ doing that.] Life is what it is and it is always beautiful – even when it is difficult. Precise & Perfectly Placed. If we can just accept that life works all by itself we can make more of it. I’m not finding the right words to define my Observation. I guess it comes down to the Lesson from some number of posts ago – Don’t Think.

Feedback

There is a bit of Feedback this week. Not a lot.

First, Looch left some comments on Facebook. I will get to most of them on Facebook directly. However, he left some specifically for Johnny. It has been determined that it is best answered by Johnny himself and most likely in video format. So just sit tight Looch. We heard you.

Belle also sent some Feedback. Most of it focused on the most recent videos. First she commented on the sound. It’s true I am having audio issues during the recording. I do have videos from this Wednesday that I just haven’t had a chance to process. If the audio problem remains I am very open to any thoughts or suggestions from people on just what I can do or get to fix the problem. Also, yes Belle, I know. It was not intended for there to be so much dead time with me writing. I didn’t even remember it happening until I watched it. But thank you. I will try to do better to be aware. [Besides, Looch apparently thought it was the most stimulating video I’ve done in a while. LOL.]

The Post

I’d say that I don’t know where to begin with this week, but, by this point, I imagine that is just assumed. It was a very strange week with some very strange moments. There was the Weekly Wednesday Walkabout [which did not disappoint,] a strange little ditty on Friday, something odd on Thursday, and along the way I would be presented with a most difficult choice. There were dreams and meditations and visions…

WALT: Lions, tigers and bears…

DOC: Oh my!

UGH!

So…where does one begin? *to WALT* And, don’t you even.

WALT: What? You don’t like The Sound of Music?

Actually…no. But, that’s a whole other thing. And, to distract our theatre loving readers from their disgust at that last statement, let me just say that I also hate Cats and loathe pretty much every show from Weber’s solo career…with the exception of the one show that was hated and failed.

*shrugs* C’est la vie.

Anyway…I really do have difficulty remembering it all. For instance, right this moment, I can tell you nothing about Monday, except, maybe, that I was off. But, I do not know what I did, or how the day progressed. I have absolutely no conscious recollection of the day at all.

Tuesday is a lot of the same. I know I worked. I worked a ‘short’ shift actually. But, honestly, I couldn’t tell you what the hours actually were. May have been the morning. Could have been the afternoon and evening. I don’t know.

Tuesday would bring The Choice to the table. But, it wouldn’t really become a ‘thing’ until later in the week. And, the only reason I can tell you that things were initiated on Tuesday because I could back and look at the texts.

I can’t say much about The Choice in this writing. First, there is a strong Theme in the totems lately of “not saying too much, too soon.” I have been advised in more than one way to keep my plans and thoughts to myself at this time. But, also, I don’t want to stir things up anywhere in my life.

So, anyway, Tuesday, The Choice would surface and by Thursday I would be giving it all some very serious contemplation. As I said, it is not an easy choice. Not based on what I now know, or have before me. It is a bittersweet choice. It has the potential to free my soul, but, on the other hand, by the end of the year it could have me facing the exact situation I faced at the end of last year.

Ultimately, I think I have made my choice. I’m just trying to work out all the finer details right now. Of course, my choice could change. All I can do is give it time. I can only take things Day by Day, Step by StepFollow the Flow – and see where things lead, knowing that all is Precise and Perfectly Placed.

But, we can think about those thoughts yet. Those thoughts are Thursday and we are only about to begin Wednesday.

Wednesday was as Wednesdays have been for some time now. I got up, got myself together, and was out the door before 0730. I traveled along, and down, the mountain to the Laundromat. I only had a few things to pick up, so I went and did that. I headed to Old Geistopia, where I parked, while visiting with The Putter and The Professor at the Safety Meeting. Then, I headed over to The Cave and continued to chip away at that Little by Little and Bit by Bit.

Wednesdays have become very trippy. I don’t usually set out to be in Quest mode. Though, I think this week I may have been more open and receptive to it. [Considering that is just how it has gone for weeks.]

I wish I knew how to describe, or convey, the experience, the phenomenon, that is The Quest. It truly is a whole different state of mind and being. It’s the kind of thing you can’t really understand until you have experienced it. And, once you have experienced it, you will begin to recognize it across the board throughout your life. The best I can give you is that it is other worldly.

I feel like this past Wednesday was the day I arrived at the Laundromat early and meditated. But, that could have been last Wednesday. That’s what I have been saying. I can’t remember. There is just so much going on across the board for me, on all planes, and everything is happening so fast and furious that it all just blurs together and I cannot separate the points in time. It’s frustrating really.

The Safety Meeting held to its standards and protocols and I accomplished Just Enough in The Cave. But, none of these are what I consider the important part of Wednesday. It’s The List. It’s always The List.

It all starts so simply and innocently. I head out to start my day and somewhere along the way something will catch my attention. The first thing on The List. It seems to act as a switch, a trigger, a catalyst for the rest of The List. Once it starts it just seems to flow from there. It’s strange how it happens. It’s not everything that catches my attention. But things do start to catch my attention, randomly here and there. I realize, of course, that they are not all that random at all. So, I started taking note of it as I could.

As I worked through the notes and shared the Totems here, I begin to see patterns and Themes emerge – not just week to week, but also totem to totem. So, I started paying closer attention to what all was really catching my attention. The List grew. You will notice that I have included more than just animal totems. There are herbs and numbers as well. I use a lot of herbs, animals and numbers in my communications with Spirit, but they are not limited to just these things. It can be almost anything. I have used saints before. And, this week, an angel would ‘appear’ to me. Not really, but in essence.

I was making my daily stop at The Valley’s Favourite Convenience Store. There was a young man at the register I had not seen before this. I did what I always do and looked at his name tag. [This is a habit I picked up in some of my Retail Merchandising work. Always have to get the name.] I had to comment on his name. It was definitely unique and different. It was also Divine – quite literally. His name was Zabdiel. I recognized it immediately and didn’t realize it. But, it was the ‘-el’ at the end that gave it away. El – the first G-d. [According to those Abrahamic Triplets anyway.] El was the G-d that led Abram (now called Abraham) out of Babylon [or was it Sumer? Somewhere Mesopotamian.] I told the lad I thought he had an awesome name.

“Where does it come from?”

“It’s kind of a long story. My mom got it out of the Bible.”

A sly little smirk appears. “Of course she did.”

So, home I went to The Dormitory and immediately took to my Angel books, and sure enough…

Zabdiel an angel with the surname Kunya. According to M. Gaster, The Sword of Moses, Zabdiel Kunya is one of the 14 ineffable names of G-d. [Gutav Davidson, A Dictionary of Angels.]

[That happened this week, though I really can’t tell you which day. I so wish I could because Timing is Everything.]

Anyway, I began to wonder if I wasn’t look at this experience all wrong. Perhaps I shouldn’t see these encounters as individual messages. Perhaps they are a string of connected messages forming a story. This is why you find the random notes throughout The List. I don’t know why but this week’s List, this week’s Experience really stands out to me. For instance, when I started The List and marked its date [for reference purpose only,] I found myself doing the numerology on the day. Then, when I saw the first Totem, I had to pause before making note of it because I wanted to take a step backwards in my thoughts and make note of what I was thinking.

It all starts with me contemplating life as a whole, but in particular, my place in it. I couldn’t help but question where I went wrong. After my experiences of the past year, especially these last several months, I can see no reason why I haven’t seen greater success in my life. It’s not about lack of trying or effort or knowledge or ability. It’s not about a lack of faith or believing. And, it is not about having a ‘regular job.’ I have that and still find myself nowhere near where I feel I should be at. So, what am I doing wrong?

As I review The List at the end of this post, I can’t help but feel like I have thrown open a door and, like it or not, I have walked through it. I stress this, because Thursday is when things begin to get strange.

WALT: Strange for you?

DOC: Ees zat ewen possible?

Alright!!

And, yes, apparently it is.

I was scheduled to work on Thursday – my usual 0900-1500 shift. And, also, as usual I was up very early that morning. So early, in fact, that by 0530 I decided I could lay back down and take a little rest before going to work. I don’t know if it was so much about rest. It was more of a need to meditate. I was pulsing. At 0600 my phone would ring. It was The Job wondering if I would come in early at 0700.

This is not the strange part.

I agreed to get there as soon as I could. I got up and stumbled into the bathroom, my head still in a fog from my zone. As I stood there, looking down, I noticed this haze, almost like a mist. “What the fu…”

JOHNNY: Reverend!

“What is that,” I thought. Actually, I’m pretty sure I said it out loud. Nonetheless, I knew it wasn’t steam because I wasn’t running the shower yet. My next thought was candles or incense but none were lit. I didn’t smell anything off, so nothing was burning. Then I realized – it was the mist of my aura. I’ve never seen that before. I have seen the shell of auras – faint glows around people, animals, things. The only time I have seen this whispy, stringy mist was way back in the beginning. I was learning to focus my energies and I would see it between my fingertips from time to time. But, Thursday I was seeing it everywhere, en masse. If I’m being honest, it kind of freaked me out a little initially.

Work was intense. We were short staffed by three people. If that wasn’t enough, we were extremely busy. It seems the President was in town that day. They closed off all the major roads around the airport. We sit just off of all the major roads near the airport. So, all that traffic was getting diverted right past us and a lot of them decided they were hungry. Tensions were high and people were snapping. I almost snapped twice myself.

Thursday night, I would settle in for my weekly soak. I have to be honest, I think this has become one of my favorite times of the week. It is so very therapeutic for me, on all levels. First, my body really appreciates it. The hot water helps with my old aching muscles. But, I also get to meditate and clear the mind. All of this tends to lift my spirit. Not that you would know this if you were here because usually when I get out I have to head to bed right away. I tried not to this week and still had to lay down. I just get so relaxed. Of course, I also do it late at night. This week I was soaking for about an hour and a half and I finished at almost midnight. It just sort of happens at the same time each week. Every week, for at least a month, I have been getting in the tub at about 2235 [give or take a minute or two.] I don’t really plan it. It just sort of happens. Part of it is out of necessity. [I like to wait until Hoagie is good and asleep so that he won’t need the bathroom while I am soaking.] But I think there is a significance to the time.

With every soak comes visions and messages. This week was no different. It takes a while. I have to just lie there and let my thoughts play out. I have to allow the thoughts to come forth, without actually thinking about them. Let it emerge and then let it go. [It’s the In-Betweens.] Let’s see what I can remember from this particular soak.

There was a message concerning ‘special powers.’ This makes sense because the totems have been bringing messages of, “using your abilities.” [Again, this makes me wonder just what I am doing wrong.] I’m fairly certain I heard the words, “The World is ending.” [Not a big fan of that particular message, but then, Nothing is as it Seems.] There was another stress on stopping smoking. [Which I still struggle with each and every day.] And, then, there was the big one.

For several months now there has been a recurring vision. It is a city street. [I do not know where it is.] My angle of vision is low, set close to the sidewalk. I can see the sidewalk, the sky in the background, and just the edge of the buildings next to me. And, I see boots. A woman wearing boots, more specifically. I can’t ever see more than her boots and she is walking. The vision is usually accompanied by the words, “She’s coming.” This time was different. I saw her head. More like a silhouette. Longer hair, flowing. Dark hair, I believe. I could not see a face. This time, the words were, “I need you ready when I get there.”

I have absolutely no idea what any of this could possibly be about. I guess we’ll find out.

Someday.

The other thing that piques my interest about Thursday is that it was an In-Between. Thursday was the midpoint between the Full Moon and the New Moon – the end and the beginning. This past Full Moon was fairly intense for me and in this next New Moon I will be house sitting and living a very different life, albeit very momentary.

Friday was a day off. The Professor would stop by and we would summon ‘Jim’ and call to order a Safety Union meeting – Hill Chapter. I think a good time was had by all. Friday, the weather was absolutely perfect and later in the day I found myself needing to take a walk. I had a couple of errands to run and they were both within walking distance, just in opposite directions. But, I needed to get out and move about. I needed to get my systems flowing. I have been feeling so very stagnant lately because my movement is so limited. I do not get to stretch out and loosen up the way I would like to and I figured a good walk would help with that.

It did.

But, it was something more. It became a Quest of sorts. I knew where I was headed and set off in that general direction. I twisted and turned my way along the streets, allowing myself to just go in whichever direction ‘felt’ right. I even crossed over a street and had something catch my peripheral vision. I stepped back and stared down that street until I realized that was the way I wanted to go. I don’t even know what it was that caught my eye.

So, I don’t know exactly how long I was walking before I realized that I had a guide. And, once I knew I had a guide everything changed, just like the Wednesday Walkabout. Perceptions change. The processing of what you see, hear and experience shifts. The mind opens, just a little. For example, I walked between two trees that have grown into an arch. It has been my experience that, in nature, this is a doorway or gate of some sort. It’s not always a magickal and mystical, “Oooh, I walked through the doorway of another dimension,” kind of thing. It is usually simply symbolic – passing from one level of experience/understanding to the next. Or the flag. The first thing that caught my attention was that there was an eagle printed on it, staring right at me. For me, the Eagle is a symbol of the highest form of Divinity. Basically, G-d himself was saying hello. As the flag blew in the wind I would see the writing above the Eagle head, “Freedom.” I can’t help but snicker, and glow, just a little bit whenever “Freedom” comes to me on a Journey. After all, I AM Freedom. It is not just a ‘stage personality’ but an entire persona.

Now, the guide was the Bumblebee. I’ve been seeing them a lot lately, but always at seemingly significant moments. Something will happen that I deem interesting or important and then the bee will appear – just long enough to be acknowledged. That is how this Journey went. Every turn I made, especially the very questionable ones, I would be met be a Bumblebee, letting me know I was on the right path. I would have included bee the list of totems at the end of the post, but I have already packed up the book to be with me next week. The only thing I can recall from the book is The Sweetness of Life. When bee shows up it is time to relax and enjoy life a bit. I think this is especially true of the bumblebee. They are such gentle and playful little creatures. However, in my research for the bee totem, a lot of the sites list its medicine as Productivity.

I know there were many thoughts and meditations along the way on that walk. Of course, I cannot remember any of them. I tell you it all happens so fast. There is just, constantly, so much information being processed in my mind – both personal and spiritual. I can’t ever keep up with all of it, yet it is always in there and reveals itself when needed.

Of course, Saturday and Sunday were devoted to work and working on this post. Just as they always are.

By Friday, I was definitely in the thick of making The Choice. It is a hard call to make. I am being offered something that would most definitely satisfy my soul. But it could do great damage to the financial/material progress I have made over these months. But then, there would also be 7 months to work it all out before that would happen. And, as you all know – Six Minutes is an Awfully Long Time, and Anything can Happen in Six Minutes. [So imagine what 7 months could bring.]

The Choice fills in so many gaps, such as, “No changes until July,” which is when the change of The Choice would take place. It would explain why I can’t see past June but I can feel Christmas. That is when all of the energies from The Choice would be completed and closed.

My mind is 95% made up. I have to gather a bit more information and see what I can work out. I am hoping for a solution that will be good and positive for all parties involved. It’s still possible that I will change my mind.

I think that is all I have for this week. The week ahead could prove to be interesting. I have a long day of work on Monday from 1045 to 2045. Then Tuesday is a simple 8 hour shift from 1300 to 2100. After that, I have only 12.25 hours of work in six days. Two of those days will be spent with The Princesses. One will be spent [mostly] alone. Two will be shared with The Job. And one will be spent readjusting back into my actual life. I am trying to plan and pack so that I can experience myself as fully as possible in that time.

The Totems

**from Ted Andrews’ Animal Speak**

Flamingo [spirit-animals.com]

Flamingo symbolism is reminding you to get in touch with your emotions. It is a good idea to allow yourself to feel so that you can process your feelings. Furthermore, this spirit animal will enable you to grow through releasing issues. In other words, if you bottle things up, you will find yourself reacting rather than acting appropriately. Therefore, the Flamingo meaning dictates that you must allow yourself to release your feelings so that you can come into balance again. Alternatively, like the Prairie Dog, Flamingo symbolism may be letting you know that it is time for you to get out and socialize. Therefore it is time to have some fun in your life. Moreover, socializing will help let go of stressful situations and coming to terms with changes in your life. Correspondingly, this bird also brings new ideas and options that will come to you while immersing yourself in the company of others. It will also allow you to find balance and gratitude for what you have. It will give you a greater appreciation of those around you. Conversely, Flamingo symbolism may be pointing out that you are blending in a bit too well right now. In other words, you need to allow yourself to be different and to think for yourself. Thus, the Flamingo meaning prompts you to maintain your individuality within the crowds.

Deer – Gentleness and Innocence – Gentle Luring to New Adventures

They have been able to adapt to every sort of habitat. Buddha is often pictured with a deer. Antlers are symbols of antennae, connections to higher forms of attunement. Look for new perceptions and degrees of perceptions to expand for as much as the next five years. Can indicate that there will be opportunities to stimulate gentle new growth increasingly over the next few years. Leads us back to the primal wisdom. A deer’s senses are very acute. Find increasing ability to detect subtle movements and appearances. Begin to hear what may not be said directly. Time to be gentle with yourself and others. A new innocence and freshness is about to be awakened or born. There is going to be a gentle, enticing lure of new adventures. Are you trying to force things? Are others? Are you being too critical and uncaring of yourself? An opportunity to express gentle love that will open new doors to adventure for you.

Honeysuckle – [m.; Jupiter; Earth] Money, Psychic Powers, Protection (from Scott Cunningham’s Encyclopedia of Magical Herbs)

Blue Jay - Proper Use of Power

It can reflect lessons in using your own power properly. It can also reflect lessons in not allowing yourself to be placed in a position in which power is misused against you. It has the ability to link the heavens and the earth, to access each for greater power. This is a totem that can move between both and tap the primal energies at either level. Higher knowledge that can be used. The main problem will be dabbling in both worlds, rather than becoming a true master of both. Usually have a tremendous amount of ability, but it can be scattered or it is often not developed any more than is necessary to get by. Not unusual to find individuals with the Jay totem being dabblers - especially in the psychic and metaphysical fields. They know a little bit about a lot of things and they use that knowledge sometimes to give the impression that they know more. Wear the crown of true master ship requires dedication, responsibility, and committed development in all things in the physical and spiritual. A reminder to follow through on all things - to not start something and then leave it dangling. A time of greater resourcefulness and adaptability is about to unfold. Going to have ample opportunities to develop and use your abilities. Look for ample time to develop and use your energies to access new levels. Actually a member of the crow family, most crows have no fear. It is because of this the Jay can help you connect to the deepest mysteries of the earth and the greatest of the heavens. This sense of seeking pleasure - often at the expense of others - can reflect an imbalance. Sometimes jay shows up when this is happening in your own life. A tremendous ability for survival with the least amount of effort. They reflect great talent, but that talent must be developed and utilized properly. It indicates that you are moving into a time where you can develop your innate royalty that is within you, or simply be a pretender to the throne. It all depends on you.

Squirrel – Activity and Preparedness

The gray squirrel is the most common and the most enthusiastic. If confronted the gray squirrel will usually run away and avoid any fight. Predominant predators are foxes and raptors such as hawk or owl. Two litters per year. On their own in 12 weeks. All squirrels can be quite sociable. Individuals with squirrel totem learn better by doing than studying. Squirrels are also quite communicative. Examine your own activity and preparedness. Are you too active? Not active enough? Are not planning at all for the future at all – distant or near? Are you becoming too erratic – running to and fro and not accomplishing anything? Do you need to learn how to save and ration on any level – money, time, energy, etc? Are you afraid you will never have enough? Are you too hung up on collecting and accumulating? Are you gathering and not giving? Squirrels can teach us the balance within the circle of gathering and giving out. Masters at preparing. Also, reminders that in our quest for our goals, we should always make time to socialize and play.

Vulture - Purification - Death and Rebirth - New Vision.

A guardian to the mysteries of life and death and the road of salvation. A coming time when you will be noticed more for what you do than how you appear. You will probably start to see auras and energies around people and things. Distributing one’s energy so that gravity does not weigh and hold one down - be it the actual gravity of the earth or the gravity of mundane situations and experiences. Associated with higher forms of discrimination. Assist you in developing your own sense of ‘smell’ that you can use effectively in all areas of your life. Aromatherapy. Changes in the digestive system. Pay attention to how you feel physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually after eating various foods. Acting rather than talking. May take as much as three months before an individual begins to truly move past the death stage to rebirth. A promise that the suffering of the immediate was temporary and necessary for a higher purpose was at work. Reflects that no matter how difficult the life conditions, rescue is imminent in your life.

Crow - The Secret Magic of Creation is Calling

Magic and creation are potentials very much alive during the day. Alchemy. Represents “ingredients,” the initial state of substance - unformed but full of potential. A reminder of what can happen if we are not looking for magic and creation every day. Magic and creation are ‘cawing’ out to us every day. Health, home and respect. Working with crows can help you to see how the winds are going to blow into your life and how to adjust your own life flights. Finding a dead crow was a sign of good luck. Wherever crows are there is magic. Symbols of creation and spiritual strength. Look for opportunities to create and manifest the magic of life. They are messengers calling to us about the magic that is alive within our world everyday and available to us.

Balsam [universeofsymbolism.com]Balsam symbolically represents gifts of healing and celebrating a season of generosity

555 [learningmind.com]

represents freedom, exploration, travel, and change. 555 is a triple of the number 5 indicating which amplifies its power.555 indicates that a change is coming. It could indicate a new period of personal growth or it could mean a physical change such as a house move or new job. If you often see 555, it indicates that you are a person who relishes opportunities to expand and grow. You constantly want to be in the middle of the action and are always looking to move forward in your life. When you see this number, it means that significant and necessary changes will be happening in your life. These changes will move you closer to your divine purpose. The prospect of change can be exciting or scary. However, seeing 555 signifies that this is a change you are ready for. Fox - Feminine Magic of Camouflage, Shapeshifting and Invisibility.

New world opening up. The process of creation is beginning. Guide to enter the Faerie Realm. Unless a male can recognize the magic of the feminine - in himself or others - and learn to use it to Shapeshift his own life, it will ultimately lead to destruction. The Kundalini, and the freeing of the creative life force. Practicing and using camouflage. Working to blend in with surroundings, to come and go unnoticed, moving silently about without revealing your intentions. Learning to control the aura. Adjust its frequency and intensity so that you harmonize more with others. Levels of energy and fertility. Gorilla [sunsigns.org]

The Gorilla animal totem may enter our lives with the purpose of signaling us to hold our heads high and recognize our own noble qualities. This is likely to be after someone has put us down or hindered our spirits. Rather than being meant as prideful or boastful, the gorilla spirit guide’s message is meant to exude a quiet and humble honesty and dignity that makes a much more deep and profound statement. Gorillas are quite regal in their behavior and temperament, and we’d do well to mimic some of that in our lives. The gorilla is a natural leader that does not need to be aggressive or loudly domineering. Instead, the gorilla manages its family and other members of the troop with understanding, love, and continence. Harshness is seldom necessary, reminding us that tyrannical dictators will never win respect. Graciousness, honesty, and charm are what win and keep loyal followers – in our case, these are our family, friends, and colleagues. In many situations, a gorilla confirms that we are proceeding through our lives in a solid and steady way. They help us find our inner strength so that we can handle our duties and responsibilities effectively. Those who can relate most to gorillas can command groups with ease through using their strength of will and decisiveness. You must be able to rally the community to support your cause and display confidence that you can accomplish anything.
