Theme - Order Out of Chaos

I saw this a lot over the past week. For instance, The Cave. It is a mess, as was my life when I left it. Now it is time to put it all back together, sort it out, clean it up. But, mostly, I am seeing in the ripple of The -Vid. This whole thing has turned The World upside down. Still, I have seen so many people be blessed by the process that has resulted. For instance, me. I continue to work through this. Yet, I got the stimulus check. That was a bonus for me. It helped me take care of The MattMobile. Or, Hoagie, who is one of many people who are currently making more on unemployment than they were when they were working. A bonus for them. Or, perhaps, someone like ‘Jim’ who has taken advantage of the time to do some house painting and cleaning up. Or, my friend, who left her job of 13 years. In the end, there is so much good coming from all of this - if we are willing to accept it. So many finding their way to new order in their lives after the chaos of the disruption to our lives. Order out of chaos. It is the nature of being. It is the nature of creation itself, no matter what story you tell.

Lesson - The Message Before the Moment

I’m certain this has come up before, some time ago. It is true though. I have found it time and time again. We are always told what we need to know before the time comes. I use Hoagie as an example of this. For several weeks now he has received messages on occasion. Each message has given him something to do or work at. Some have given him new thoughts or directions to pursue. Yet, the messages always seem to come about two weeks before he is in a place to actually make use of them. He was told to focus on himself and to set new routines. A week later he would find himself unemployed with time to spare. Then, later, he was told to start saving money, to put 10% aside. He said he didn’t have the funds for that. A few weeks later, he was blessed with extra income.

What we know today, we may not need until tomorrow.

Observation - It’s All in There

I don’t know what got me to thinking about it really, and this isn’t really the best phrase for it, but it is there nonetheless.

It’s all in there. Every thing we have ever seen, or heard. Every thought, feeling, experience. It’s all in there. It’s just a matter of if and how we can recall it.

The brain [or is it the mind] is much like a hard drive on a computer. Once it processes something it is always there. The files are forever stored. But, ove rtime they become fragmented and buried.

But, everything is in there.

The Post -

Another interesting week. Another week I tried to take notes and failed. I’m sorry. Life just happens too fast.

Monday and Tuesday were what they were. I had to work some closing shifts in order to become certified and official. That is done now. I have my first closing shift alone this coming Tuesday night. Of course, we close much earlier than usual right now and, hence, the shift starts earlier as well. But, those two shifts helped set me up for the perfect week.

Wednesday I would be off and doing my usual Wednesday work. There was laundry, but no shopping this week. I decided to save that until payday. From there it was a safety meeting and then off to The Cave to do some sorting. I do have video from that time. I just need to finish getting it processed and uploaded.

I’d say there just isn't time to keep up with video like I once was, but I feel that way about everything for several weeks now. I am always on the go, yet I always have a thousand more things to do and I just can’t get done what I want when I want. I’m learning to be OK in this. It Is What It Is. Everything for a Reason. And, all things Precise & Perfectly Placed.

I felt good on Wednesday morning. Like I was ready to conquer the world. I decided I wanted to set a little balance to things as I could. I knew I would be stopping by The Putter’s and I wanted to take some beer. It has been awhile since I have contributed. As long as I was stopping, I wanted to do the same for ‘Jim.’ He is always so generous with me and Hoagie. So, I thought it was time to pay some of that back.

I stopped at the store to get the beer and some cash back for upcoming needs. I had a rough time with the cashier. There weren’t problems, but I was obviously an annoyance. First of all, I picked up both 12 packs and was ready to check out. Apparently, according to state law, I can only do 1 twelve pack at a time. So, I had to purchase one, walk it to my car and come back in for the second one.

The woman was very...blunt in her explanation of this to me. So, OK, I give her the second one and begin to pay for the first. Now, I want the cash back, only I want more than she thinks she has to part with. After a couple of go rounds, trying to figure out a middle at which we could meet, she conceded and just gave me what I wanted.

So, I head out to my car. On the way back in I am thinking about the woman and how she really wasn’t so pleasant. I just kind of chuckled to myself about it. Then, I looked up and I saw it. There was an SUV with it’s tailgate up and in the back there was a balloon with the word ‘Love’ written on it in big letters.

I thought, “Fair enough.” Handle it with love, right? What Would Love Do? So, I went back in, as happy as I was the first time around. Interestingly enough, her attitude was different as well. She was much more pleasant, friendly and open.

Thursday I had a quick 6 hour shift at just the right time. Then, I would be off for two more days.

This is when things became a little more interesting.

For weeks now, I have had a short shift on Thursdays and a day off on Friday. I have taken to soaking in a hot bath those nights. This week would be no different. It is a very therapeutic and meditative experience for me. This week would be no different.

I know I had some visions and messages. Again, I should have written them all down afterwards, but I did not. Still, there is a message that has stuck with me, “Don’t change,” and, “3 months.”

It’s frustrating when I only hear the messages in fragments. It becomes hard to interpret properly. Does it mean I shouldn’t change anything for the next three months - no matter what? Nothing at all? Does it mean no matter how I try that nothing will change for 3 months? Or, are those two statements separate from one another. One telling me not to change and the other just giving me my next major marker?

Thursday would also be a Day Before, for Friday was Beltane.

I was feeling it, too. I was so ready for this holi-day. Perhaps it was merely the fact that it had become a marker in time during The Experiment. Maybe it was just the holi-day itself. Whatever it was, I was feeling anxious and ready to go. The problem is, there is really no place to go and nothing to do.

I decided that I needed to drive. I had decided that already by Tuesday. I just needed to get in the car and go. It didn’t matter where. By Friday morning I had a plan. I would go and visit The Professor, but I would take the long way t get there. The very long [and scenic] way.

The trip allowed me to discover new roads and to visit some of my favorite places. I left The Hill and headed over the back until I was up on the mountain and going through Lehighton. I love mountain towns. I really do.

I journeyed from there to Jim Thorpe. Though this was just a breeze through as I only traveled along the very edge of the town. And, on to Hazleton. I have loved this town ever since Encyclopedia lived there. I return often. I don’t know what it is about up there. I just like the vibe. I also found it interesting that on a day I was celebrating moving into a brighter future that I would visit such a harsh and painful part of my past.

From there I would travel along the mountain to Mahanoy City and The Professor. I hung out and we had our own mini safety meeting. When I left The Professor’s I had one more important stop to make - paying off the rest of my garage bill.

So I headed back down the mountain into The Valley. I traveled through Tamaqua and took the time to pull off the main road and up through the town for a bit of sightseeing. I will have to return when The World opens up again. Then down into NewTripoli. Normally, one just skirts by New Tripoli on the main drag, but in my Quest to travel more backroads, I turned into the town itself.

After the garage it was off to an unscheduled stop at The Putter’s. And, after The Putter’s it was off to the shopping that I skipped on Wednesday.

I took note that day to totems and messages, including using plants/herbs as totems. When applicable, I tried to match each with whatever thought seemed appropriate at the time. I am not going to try to break it all down for you here. However, I am going to share that list as I had made it.

Quite the list, eh? Yeah. I thought so too. But, it is what it is. I figure there is lots of information in there. Of course, it would help if I could recall exactly what was on my mind at each of these events. Now...some of those things are significant. They are just there for placement of time.

Saturday is a blur. Truly it is. I suppose that makes it the perfect Day After. I ended up making one more trip down to The Putter’s for an official safety meeting with The Professor. After that it was back to The Hill for a meeting of that chapter. ‘Jim’ was feeling generous and made a most excellent dinner for everyone. This threw off my plans, which were to work on this post, but all in all it was the perfect way to go out of a holi-day observance. I even managed one more soak before last night was over.

And, today was just another Sunday at work.

I got a little ‘spendy’ this week and I need to be cautious with that. I’m going to give it a week or two and see how it all balances out. I do still have funds available, but am trying to avoid using them if possible.

There were two other moments worth mentioning this week.

On Friday, I filled the tank for the first time in a week. This is significant because I am usually filling two, sometimes three, times in a week. So I am definitely doing much better in gas mileage. About 8-10 gallons per mile better actually. Anyway, I noticed that the gauge never went above the ¾ mark, even though I had just filled the tank. I also noticed that the gauge was going down much faster than it should have been, even with my previous problems.

On Saturday morning, I would learn why. I came out of the store early on Saturday morning to see something hanging under my car. I crawled underneath and discovered it was a hose - one end connected to the gas tank. The other end was just hanging on the ground. I found where it belonged and reattached it. But, I am going to take it back to the garage on Wednesday and try to have them just take a quick look at it.

Also, this week, I received news concerning something with The Princesses. I do not want to say more on it at this time, for it is not mine to reveal. But, when I can, I will. In the meantime, just know that it makes me feel happy and relieved for them.

Again, overall, I feel fantastic. I’m working hard - both at work and at home. Each week I make a bit more progress in different areas of my life. I figure sooner or later I will be caught up with them completely and ready to begin a new phase.

The -Vid

The Virus is still wreaking havoc, though we are slowly coming to an upswing in things. Little by little states, including The Commonwealth, are opening back up. The Commonwealth is taking a slow and calculated approach. Counties must meet certain requirements before moving to an ‘Open, but with guidelines’ status. [And, even more, to resume complete normal functions.] The Valley itself has had an extension of the stay-at-home order. We can look at resuming again around the end of May.

I heard whisperings today that there is a fine for being outside at all without a mask on. Yet, I saw many people without masks on. Who knows.

I also have heard whisperings of another stimulus package, but I do not thinki would be included in that one.

Only time will tell for everything, I suppose.

The Experiment

I know that I keep coming back to how quiet I have been on this front recently. Again, a lot of that is because I have stopped needing to explain the numbers. Some of it is because we are in a vague spot in the tracking of things.

But, it is important to remember that, ultimately, all of this falls under The Experiment - including totems and holi-days.

Let’s stop for a moment and see just where in time we are.

We are coming to the end of Week 17 of The Experiment itself.

I have just finished Week 13 of The Job.

I have just received my 6th paycheck.

We have passed all of the markers given thus far and entered into May - the last marker. Of course, there is a new marker of 3 months.

I had a thought this week. If January is The Void - the 0 Month, then I have just completed Month 3. 3 is a number of Creation and realization. It is found as a Theme in many Underworld stories.

Month 1 = The Emergence.

In February, I started working my routines and practices regularly and I was really just beginning at The Job.

Month 2 = Balance/Partnership

March found things moving along, albeit slowly. I was definitely finding a balance between my work week and my personal week.

Month 3 = Creation/Realization.

As April came to an end, I finally became certified as a manager. Throughout the month I put many things into play. It will take some time to see them come to fruition, nonetheless, they are out there.

I just find it all so fascinating because, again, without trying, the Numbers/Months all line up with the basic premises of Numerology.

That being said, May is Month 4 and I should start to see some foundations and building happening in my life.
